Alternative to Typing Pin/Password on the screen

Hello,

To secure access to the TeachMint Smart Board there seems to be an option to use a Pin or Password. But using it requires typing it on the screen which can be seen by the audience

What is the alternative to typing the pin/password on the screen using the virtual keyboard which can be seen by the audience(students) or get clearly recorded by the CCTV?

Thank you.

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand your concern regarding entering a PIN or password on the screen, as it may be visible to students or captured by CCTV recordings.

As an alternative, we recommend using the NFC Unlock feature available under the Security settings of the Teachmint Smart Board.

With this feature:

  • Teachers can use their assigned NFC cards to unlock the Smart Board.

  • There is no need to enter a PIN or password on the screen.

  • Students will not be able to unlock the board unless they have an authorised NFC card.

This provides a more convenient and secure way to restrict access to the Smart Board while maintaining privacy.
